CONNECT WITH ME:

Hi, I'm Jason.  Thanks for stopping by my blog.  This is where you'll find stuff that's happening with me.  You'll find photographs of my incredible clients, along with personal "stuff" - like photos of my insanely cute daughter Maddie, and my best-friend/wonderful wife Beth.

I love what I do.  I love that I get to be a part of something so significant in people's lives.

Weddings are significant, for so many reasons, but for me - they are significant because there is nothing quite like two people committing, to each other, the rest of their lives.  They are significant because of what they represent, and they are significant because - for our clients - they are the beginning of a journey.  They are the beginning of a story.

I believe that an event of such significance requires a commitment on my part.  It’s a commitment to document the people, the moments and the details - all the things that are a part of your story.  Your wedding isn't about the photography, and it's not about the photographer.  Your wedding will be incredible no matter who you ask to help you remember it.  My commitment is to do just that - help you remember exactly the way you feel on your wedding day - for the rest of your life.

Thanks for stopping by!

HAVE A LITTLE FUN! PHOTO BOOTH STYLE

There are a few dozen reasons I can think of for having a super fun photo booth at your wedding.  They are "super fun," for one - and they are a GREAT way to capture all of the important people that celebrate your wedding day with you.   They make great thank you cards, and gifts for your guests.

There are a few different types of photo booths you can get for your wedding, including the old fashioned carnival style - or the more modern setup that a lot of photographers are using.  We prefer the second for a few reasons.

1. You get to involve a lot more people because the who setup is larger - and fits more people.

2. Because it's larger, you can take advantage of a ton of cool props.

We only offer our photo booth setup at weddings we're shooting, so that means you have to book either an Associate or Signature wedding commission with us, in order for us to bring our super sweet wedding photo booth with us.  No reason to worry - we still have a few dates available ;)  Or, if you're looking for a company (or photographer) who does photo booths only, shoot me a quick note - I'd be happy to get you in touch with the right people.

We offer a complete printed proof set of your photo booth gallery, online proofing, and digital proofing, depending on what you prefer.

Wanna learn more?  You can check out a sample gallery here.  You can also give me a call, or shoot me an email and we'll talk more about how it might fit into your wedding plans!

WEDDING: HEATHER AND JAKE. SAINT CECILIA'S MUSIC CENTER. GRAND RAPIDS, MI WEDDING

Vintage.  Classic.  Stunning.  It doesn't take long to get a sense of who Heather and Jake are as a couple.  Every detail of their wedding was perfectly designed for their personality and style.  Heather is vintage in the truest sense of the word.  It was so much fun shooting their wedding (along with Amy!).  St. Cecilia's Music Center is a wonderful place for a wedding, and I'm so glad I had a chance to finally be a part of a wedding there.  And Noto's did a GREAT job with the reception and dinner.  Check out a few of my favorite images of the day!

WEDDING: BRIDGET AND SCOTT: UNIVERSITY CLUB OF CHICAGO AUGUST 29, 2009

While Beth and I were in Chicago, I had the joy and honor of being able to photograph Bridget and Scott's wedding with Kevin Swan, at Old Saint Patrick's Church and the University Club of Chicago.  Old Saint Patrick's is the oldest public building in Chicago, and is a fabulously beautiful location for a wedding!  Bridget and Scott had a fantastic wedding and a huge celebration with their wonderful friends and family.  Check out some of my favorites below - you'll see what I mean!

WEDDING: KRISTY AND MIKE, CHATEAU ST. JEAN SONOMA, CA

Having lived in the San Francisco Bay area before I moved back home two years ago, I find myself often looking for excuses to escape to what can only be described as one of my favorite places on earth.  For that reason, I'd been looking forward to this wedding for a while.  This post will be far longer than a usual blog post, mostly because I feel obligated to share with you, since some of you told me how rough it was having to follow my twitter feed - hearing about how much fun I was having.

It's true, it was a blast.  Kristy and Mike are a very sweet couple, and I truly enjoyed being a part of their celebration.  I could do an entire second post of detail shots - maybe in the future.  Hopefully, after making it through the images, you'll have a better understanding of how much I enjoyed this beautiful wedding day!

Congrats Mike and Kristy!
