The annual Bride's Choice Awards recognizes and celebrates excellence in quality and service within the wedding industry, as determined by recent reviews and extensive surveys from over 500,000 newlyweds. 

Jason Aten Photography is among the top five percent of all vendors in the WeddingWire community, which includes over 100,000 wedding professionals across the US and Canada. Awards were given to winners across 19 different service categories, from wedding venues to wedding photographers.

Last week I got an email invitation from Shea Roggio to be a part of something really cool.  Shea has teamed up with Cliff Mautner (one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world), and Bill Cramer to create an exclusive, invitation-only directory of the top wedding photographers around the globe.  Bill is the force behind www.wonderfulmachine.com - which is highly successful directory of the top commercial photographers - and he's brought that experience to the wedding industry.

It's an honor to be invited, and it's an honor to be the first (and only) photographer from Michigan to be included.  I'm especially humbled as I look at the photographers who are listed - many of them are people I admire a TON!  They are all photographers I would trust to refer my clients to in a heartbeat - and because it's invitation-only - it's different than most online directories where anyone can pay for placement.

So, winning awards is always cool.  It's especially cool, in my book, to win an award based on the feedback of our clients!  That's what it's really cool about being a Bride's Choice Award Winner for 2009.  It's so important to us that each of our clients absolutely love everything about their wedding images.  That's why this award is pretty cool :)
